Baptisms

Baptism is the gift of our Lord Jesus Christ. When he had risen from the dead, he commanded his followers to go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28.19) We come together to obey that command. baptising in response to God’s all-embracing love.

Unless there are unusual circumstances, Baptisms are held as part of one of the regular Church services.  This is important so that those who are already members of God’s family are present to welcome the newest member of God’s family.

Baptisms can be held at any of the Churches, but at least one month’s notice is requested to allow for preparation   During this time, the family will be asked to meet with the Parish Priest or another designated Parishioner to complete the documentation, overview the service and allow for any questions.

There is no charge for Baptism, but if the family wishes to make a donation to the Parish, they can do so by placing the donation in an envelope in the collection plate on the day.

For more information, or to arrange a Baptism, please contact the Parish Priest.
